Next Thursday evening, I am teaching the class QuickBooks 101: An Introduction to Finances and Accounting at CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia, 1315 Walnut Street, Suite 320, at 5:00 PM.
This class is an introduction to small business accounting, basic financial reports, and where to find this information in Quickbooks. Bring your questions- none are too basic for this workshop!
In our work with clients, Elysian Fields approaches QuickBooks through the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
These are the reports most useful and commonly used by managers and owners in their normal operations. I will review what these reports tell us, and how we can edit QuickBooks’ default Chart of Accounts to track our day to day transactions, and give us the information we need to plan and make decisions. Setting up the Chart of Accounts with a bit of thought and planning can create long term efficiencies in tracking revenue and expenses, and provide accurate and useful information. These settings can help align our bank accounts, credit cards, invoices, and vendor bills.
I am happy to answer all questions about the organization and set-up of the QuickBooks file, as well as any other question you have about QuickBooks that have come up in your day to day work.
The cost of the class is $20 and open to all, and free to members of CultureWorks. Register and reserve your space here.
